HCG Weight Loss
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone naturally produced in the body by both males and females. It is most commonly associated with women, as HCG levels rise dramatically during gestation. As a woman goes through the various stages of pregnancy, her HCG levels correspondingly rise in order to help maintain nutrition to her placenta. For both men and women, HCG works in conjunction with the hypothalamus to utilize fat stores as well as boost immune receptors.
Low dose HCG used in conjunction with a low fat/calorie diet helps the body use “bad” fat stores for energy, while helping maintain “good” fat stores that protect vital organs and tissue. The HCG Weight Loss program involves four phases. The first phase is a herbal and calorie cleanse that is optional. The second phase is an implementation of a program specific diet with the HCG/MIC shot protocol. This phase last six weeks. The third phase raises the calorie count to 1,200 calories per day, and the fourth and final phase is the introduction of starches back into the diet.
The HCG Weight Loss program is offered by the Wiseman Bioidentical Hormone Program and is physician-managed. The program last a maximum of eight weeks with weekly mandatory appointments with the doctor for patient compliance, safety, and monitoring.
Getting Started With HCG
The program includes before and after dietary consultations with a nutritionist, before and after body composition analyses, and compounded HCG injections with needles* (40 days) provided by Peoples Pharmacy Wellness Clinic Lakeline.
*HCG Sublingual tablets are available to replace injectables upon request.
