Juanita Martin, FNP-C
Juanita Martin began her nursing career in 1995 after attending Howard College in San Angelo, Texas. Juanita continued her education and earned a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from San Angelo State University. Juanita has worked in various areas of health care including Neonatal ICU, Mother/Baby Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medical Services, and Medical and Surgical hospital care. Juanita is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has worked in smaller rural clinics and larger primary care settings. Juanita is active in several nurse practitioner groups including president-elect of the San Angelo Coalition of Nurses in Advanced Practice (SACNAP) and a member of the San Antonio Nursing Advisory Board for the East Coast Polytechnic Institute. She has a special interest in integrative and alternative medicine, general family medicine, pediatrics, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, disease prevention, and helping her patients optimize their health.
Juanita was born and raised in San Angelo and lives in the San Angelo community. Outside of work, Juanita enjoys spending time outdoors with her animals: Brandi, Porter, and Heffie.
Jayden “Shi” Yates
Jayden “Shi” Yates is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career in 2012 and has extensive experience in multiple specialties including cardiac telemetry, emergency medicine, surgical services, pediatrics, wound care, and the geriatric population. Shi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University. With over five years of experience performing veteran compensation and disability examinations, Shi brings a broad clinical background and a deep appreciation for those who have served. She takes great pride in caring for veterans and active-duty servicemen and servicewomen. She takes an active, integrative approach to family medicine and provides care for the whole family, including children. Shi is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP). She was recognized on the Dean’s List and as a member of her university’s honor society for academic excellence.
Outside of her professional life, Shi enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children—a son and a daughter—and the family dog. She loves staying active, spending time outdoors, and creating meaningful moments with her family. Shi values balance, wellness, and connection, and she brings that same compassion and positivity to her patients and community.
